Sourdough Fundamentals Workshop with Karen the #Doughminatrix? Yup! It's happening! This workshop is suited for absolute beginners, home bakers, or loved ones who just want to spend time bonding over bread making.
We begin the day with fresh sourdough waffles for breakfast, served with tea and coffee. Next, we tackle sourdough!
My Sourdough Fundamentals Workshop is specifically designed for our tropical climates. So recipe and timings are radically different from what you find on Internet websites. Bread theory is made easy to understand without complicated jargons. Demonstrations are 100% hands on, and broken down to easy steps for success!
You will learn the secret to producing flavour, not sourness, to your sourdough loaves. You will also find out how to short cut your way to make sourdough in just half a day!
We will learn starter Tropical Starter™ maintenance, mixing methods, inclusions, folding methods, bulk fermentation and basic dough handling skills. Finally, we close off the session with a demonstration of scoring and baking in a legendary ROFCO B40 stone oven.
You will take home 2 freshly baked sourdough loaves of your choice, my Tropical Starter™, a box of sourdough waffles and a curriculum booklet.
